Ballistics Example 88vsPanhard

In this example a APHE FlaK. 36 88mm round impact frontally with aprox. 0º degree angle a French Panhard 178 and destroys it. It's hard to explain exactly what happens inside as long as we have no log for this example:

• Spall: Round penetrates armor and break it, forming several broke pieces called spall that kills commander and gunner thru multiple hits. Driver seems only injured by 1-2 fragments.
  

• Concussion: Few milliseconds later APHE round explodes inside of panhard, close to gunner head. Concussion hits are not visible in pic, but kills all crew and damage some of the components inside.

• HE explosion: Explosion of shell generates several fragments (red lines) in vehicle that mostly affect gunner, commander and engine.

• Result: Panhard crew (mauve) dies inmediatly (due to both concussion and fragment hits) and there is a high chance of explosion/fire. Panhard is anihilated.
