Bridges

Bridges in World War II Online come in two varieties, over water and over road/rail. Bridges that cross road/rail are usually found in towns or cities.

Types

There are three types of river bridges:

• Road bridges with pedestrian lanes
• Road bridges without pedestrian lanes
• Railroad bridges
  

Notes

Due to the strategic value of river bridges, it is often important to hold them in both defensive and offensive situations. Because they can be destroyed, they may have to be protected or destroyed depending on the mission. They can be destroyed by anything that uses HE. The damage threshold is high enough that while infantry and armor have effects on the bridge, using bomber aircraft is the best way to destroy them.
They can be rebuilt with sappers.

You can find out the damage level of a bridge by selecting it on the map and using the text command ".own".
