About Dog Company

Dog Company is stationed in the Zeeland Islands where we do it all.

Squad History

D Company, 2nd Battalion Ox & Bucks LI, 5th June 1944 This force, under Major John Howard, seized Pegasus Bridge during the early morning of D-Day. It is hard to reconcile the numbers given at different places in this source. Poett's operation order, quoted in an appendix, specifies 20 sappers, 5 in each of gliders 1 to 4, with gliders 5 and 6 each carrying 5 men from Coy HQ; but the text specifies 30 sappers. The text also states that there were 30 to 31 men per glider, suggesting that the 160 total figure does not include 20 sappers; and that each rifle platoon had to leave 3 men behind, due to weight considerations. Weapons are not specified, but Brens, mortars (which must be 2-in) and PIATs are mentioned.

Other information

GOALS:
Defeat Germans.
Have fun and support our brigade/division/corps in the Zeelands.
Maximize in-game experiences.
HAVE FUN!
No profanity.

We have past & present AHC officers in our mix so we not only know how to take towns, we also know what towns & factories are on the agenda to be hit. SeaDogs is our naval unit working towards the Royal Naval objectives. The 49 Squadron, formally known as AirDogs, are the group of flyers that provide the much needed air support. The GroundDogs are found keeping the enemy out of our backyard & running rampant where ever we may roam. I guess you could say, we are "off the leash". WOOF. Dog Company is close to a 24/7 squad so running with this pack means you won't be ingame all alone.

Origin

Squad was put together in 2002 by gipper & maniacle. 1RCR, Irregulars & the "new squad" Dog Company was going to Merge into one. Maltese & Sgtstone were the CO's for 1RCR & Irregulars. Gipper moved on to a few other squads since back a few years ago he was playing alone. I than became CO of the squad (I had been the XO). Maniacle plays sometimes, but has created Dog Company's in other games. In 2004 we made the move from 4th bde to the Marines division. When the Marines division was removed from the Orbat Dog Company put itself into the RN orbat & we have remained here since. Many day 1 players in the squad.

Squad is 24/7 therefore you could be the only Dog online OR 1 of a bakers dozen. Members are from all over the world.

"Keep Buggering On"
British Expeditionary Force
Royal Navy, 19th Flotilla, 37th Destroyer Division

Since our squad is full of many long time players & multiple AHC members, there are no other leaders for the squad. Our naval personnel is usually out sailing. Our Army officers are doing their respective jobs wherever it takes them. This gives a HUGE opportunity for the rest of the members to play where they want - be it land, sea or air.
