HEAT (High Explosive Anti Tank)

HEAT is a round that no uses kinetic energy to penetrate armor. A HEAT round will have the same penetration ability at all distances. HEAT round is a HE round that with a oriented explosion to one point: the enemy armor. It has a copper jacket that melts due to high temperature and melts also enemy armor.

In Battleground Europe several panzers ( PzKwIV ausf.D, StuG III ausf.B) use this kind of ammo as well as the No.68 British rifle grenade. The main advantage of this weapon is at extreme ranges where enemy AP rounds reach you with reduced penetration ability and you still have full penetration ability.
