  1. Magnetic compass (on the floor) and Slave compass (hidden behind the yoke). Add a 0 to the readout to determine your compass heading, e.g. 9 = 90 degrees (east), 27 = 270 degrees (west).
  2. Altimeter. Readout is in hundreds (long arm) and thousands of feet (short arm).
  3. Clock. Measures game time, not your local time.
  4. Unknown. Appears to be nonfunctional.
  5. Indicated Airspeed. Readout is in tens of MPH, e.g. 14=140 MPH.
  6. Artificial Horizon. Shows the position of your wingline relative to the horizon.
  7. Landing Gear Indicator. Shows the position (Up or Down) of your P = Port (left) and S = Starboard (right) landing gear.
  8. RPM. Shows the revolutions of your propeller in units of hundreds per minute, e.g. 20 = 2000 RPM. See the effects on this gauge by changing from Economy to Continuous and Maximum RPM with ‘ key.
  9. Vertical Speed Indicator (VsI). Shows whether you are climbing or sinking.
  10. Engine Boost. Shows your throttle setting.
  11. Inclinometer. Shows your Turn and Bank (lower arm) and your Yaw (when you skid by applying rudder).
  12. Oil pressure. If you have an oil leak, the pressure will drop and leave you with a very sick engine.
  13. Fuel pressure.
  14. Fuel gauge. Shows fuel remaining. The gauge will not move until the tank is half empty, then it will drain pretty quickly. If it drops to below 20 gallons, make haste to a friendly airfield. Lower boost and RPM settings will save gas and earn mileage.
  15. Oil temperature. Watch this gauge if you have taken hits to your engine and/or oil sump. When the sump is dry, temperature will rise to a critical level (100+).
  16. Engine temperature. The temperature is measured at the cylinder heads.
