Installation
Minimum system requirements
Before installing the game, please make sure that your computer is capable of running the game.
Often, even if you meet or exceed the minimum requirements, you will need to update your Video and Sound drivers to enable the game to load properly.
Install to default directory
Some users have had difficulty installing the game to directories other than the defaults. This is mostly a problem during the patching process. You can install the game to different directories, but you will always have to indicate the directory you used with each update. And to prevent problems with PlayGate, we recommend the default directories be used.
The default directories are:
Game Directory
- PC: C:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe
- Mac:
PlayGate Directory
- PC Only: C:\Program Files\Playnet\Playgate
PlayGate
Playgate is a small application that manages the login and patching process for players on PCs. It is a distinct application from the game because it was originally planned to handle access to multiple games.
