Sonderkraftfahrzeug (abbreviated SdKfz) is German for "special purpose vehicle" (or "special ordnance vehicle"). The designation was used by Germany during World War II for armoured fighting vehicles, i.e. for example SdKfz 101 for the Panzer I.
