PC users can create shortcuts to connect to either the live game or the training server.

Vista Users. Currently, Vista users must do this to connect to the training server, until the new version of PlayGate is complete.

Creating a Shortcut

Method

Drag and Drop

You can drag and drop an icon from your Start Menu to create a shortcut to your Desktop by holding a right-click on the icon, dragging it to the desktop and then releasing it.

Manual Creation

• Start Windows Explorer by right-clicking on My Computer or Computer and choosing Explore.
• Browse to the folder: C:\Program Files\Playnet\PlayGATE
• Find Playgate.exe
• Right-click on it and select Create Shortcut
• It will create a new Playgate icon called "Shortcut to Playgate.exe" or "PlayGate.exe".
• Drag that icon to the desktop

Destination

To the Training Server

• Right-click on the shortcut icon and select Properties
• In the line "Target" it will say: "C:\Program Files\Playnet\PlayGATE\PlayGate.exe"
• Click in there with your cursor and go to the end of the entry and add a space and a "22" so that it reads:
  

"C:\Program Files\Playnet\PlayGATE\PlayGate.exe" 22
(It may or may not have the quotes. if not, don't worry about it, just add the 22 at the end)

• Click OK.

To the Live Server

Do the steps above but add a "1" instead of "22".
