Understanding Teultest Results
From Battleground Europe Wiki
It reports what happened like this (from within CRS offices):
Using host IP 66.28.224.141 Connected! Took ~21ms Requesting 522 byte packet: Took ~11ms Requesting 640 byte packet: Took ~22ms Requesting 800 byte packet: Took ~21ms Requesting 1000 byte packet: Took ~21ms Requesting 1020 byte packet: Took ~22ms Requesting 1200 byte packet: Took ~21ms Requesting 1300 byte packet: Took ~21ms Requesting 1338 byte packet: Took ~22ms Requesting 1Mb in 784 large packets: Took ~6319ms (avg 8ms per) Estimated bandwidth: 1.33Mbps Ending session: Took ~21ms Connection test completed OK!
Here's one from a player on a dialup connection:
Using host IP 66.28.224.141 Connected! Took ~300ms Requesting 522 byte packet: Took ~215ms Requesting 640 byte packet: Took ~237ms Requesting 800 byte packet: Took ~258ms Requesting 1000 byte packet: Took ~301ms Requesting 1020 byte packet: Took ~333ms Requesting 1200 byte packet: Took ~387ms Requesting 1300 byte packet: Took ~354ms Requesting 1338 byte packet: Took ~365ms Requesting 2Mb in 1568 large packets: Took ~422533ms (avg 269ms per) Estimated bandwidth: 39.72Kbps Ending session: Took ~129ms Connection test completed OK!
Note the connection test was "OK!" but the estimated bandwidth is very low (below the minimum required). That is not good and shows that acceptable gameplay is very unlikely if not impossible.
