Video drivers

We recommend that you always keep your video drivers up to date, especially after we release a major patch.

However, sometimes, the most recent drivers will have problems with the game. Players often find that going back one version resolves common graphics issues.

We also recommend that PC owners use only WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Lab) certified drivers. The Omega Drivers are linked here because some players have found that in some circumstances they resolve particular issues. The links should not be considered an official endorsement of those drivers.

The following links assume that your Operating System is Windows XP Pro or Home, 32 bit. Search for OS-specific drivers if you are running Windows Media Center, XP 64-bit, Vista, etc.

Radeon

Catalyst

Official Catalyst 7.1 (January 10, 2007)

Note: if you don't want the entire Catalyst suite, which has several applications, you can simply use the Display Driver, which is usually presented as a separate link on their driver pages.

Omega ATI

Omega ATI Drivers

Omega 3.8.291 (Based on Catalyst 6.9) (October 7, 2006)

ATI Mobility

Why are you trying to play the game on a laptop with an integrated graphics processor? This is not a good idea!

If you insist on making your life difficult, you first have to download and install the latest Installation Verification Software from ATI. You can find that by searching for you Mobility card on their driver search page. That will tell if you if can run the official Catalyst drivers. If you can, great. We suggest you do so. If you can't, you need to contact your laptop manufacturer or vendor.

NVIDIA

GeForce ForceWare

Official GeForce 8800s

GeForce Go (7800/7900 Series)

Again with the laptops. Still a bad idea. But now, it's an expensive bad idea. Try the NVIDIA Driver Search Page. Best of luck with that.

Intel

Contact your laptop manufacturer or vendor. But also don't expect the game to play well on a laptop with an integrated graphics processor.
