	The PIAT (Projector, Infantry, Anti Tank), began development as soon as it became apparent the Boy’s antitank rifle was no longer up to the task of taking on German armour. The PIAT utilises a spigot mortar system to launch at 2.5 pound (1.1kg) shaped charge. The PIAT had an effective range of 100m in a direct fire anti-tank role and could also be used as indirect fire weapon up to ranges of 320m. 			The PIAT is available in game from tier 3. It can kill all axis armour in game, some very easily and others need to be hit in just the right place. Be aware that you can’t sprint with a loaded PIAT so it advised not to load it until you are in position. Nor with a loaded PIAT can you switch to your side arm to defend yourself from enemy infantry.

			The PIAT unlike the Bazooka and the Panzersherk, cannot be fired from a standing position. You have to be crouched or prone to fire it. Aiming the PIAT can quite tricky compared to the Bazooka and if you get it wrong you can get deflection shots off the armour, meaning you have wasted a shot and very likely given away your position.

			The PAIT served with the British Armed forces for the rest of the war and on into the early 1950s before being replaced.
