World War II Online requires an active account, this either 'Free to Play' or a 'Subscription'. All new signups get a 2 week premium pass for free (no card required).
WWII Online is a 100% player-funded indie project: you can play for free with basic infantry and equipment, but a subscription will unlock more units and will allow us to release more- and faster upgrades!

• Sign up (no card required) and get a premium 14-day trial to try out everything WWII Online has to offer.
• After the trial, you will be automatically converted to a perpetual Free Play account.
• You will be able to upgrade your account any time to unlock more units and features.
• You can freeze your subscription and keep free play access, without losing your game name or rank.

Steam Account

It is also possible to play WWII Online through Steam, to note this is the same game on the same server however you gain access through Steam. Steam has the same Free to Play and Premium subscriptions, however you do get more variety with the DLCs. Downloadable content may be purchased without requiring a subscription! You will pay for a DLC one time and you will own that content indefinitely. At any time, you can Subscribe to Premium and gain full access but should you choose to unsubscribe, these DLC items will remain with your account, always.:

Support Infantry Pack Become a Mortarman and an Anti-Tank Rifleman in WWII Online! This DLC grants you lifetime access to the light Mortarman, the Paratrooper Mortarman, and the Anti-Tank Rifleman (ATR) for all countries (France, Britain, Germany, US). Light Mortarmen: Their radius of action ranges from 50m to 500m. Models: France: 50mm M37 Britain: SBML 2 Inch U.S.: 50 mm M37 Germany: Granatwerfer 36 Load-out: Standard bolt-action Rifle, 10 High Explosive Rounds, 10 Smoke Rounds, Combat Knife Mortarman can get re-supplied by ammo cans, carried by all riflemen and ammunition bearers. If you stay in one place you can get a stockpile added to your ammo count, which will max out at 40 rounds of each instead of 10 (Smoke & HE). Anti-Tank Riflemen: These high-velocity rifles are capable of penetrating trucks, haulers, light tanks, and armored cars. You can also engage infantry at a large distance accurately. Leadership Pack Become a leader and support your troops! Get access to two exclusive units, not included in the Premium subscription! Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO): you carry a SMG and can build some extra defensive fortifications, among which an ammunition crater (player-placed object resupplying any unit standing close) Ammunition Bearer: you carry 4 ammo boxes that will resupply all primary and secondary weapons of infantries You can volunteer as a brigade commander (AO/DO): join a brigade and type .oicvolunteer in the chat Upon purchase, these units will be immediately available for you to access, providing supply is available at the spawn you have selected.
