SdKfz 7/2 Halftrack
history
towing and setting up an AA gun takes time and troops on the move might need some weaponry to take on enemy aircraft other than their own infective rifles. the solution was self-propelled Anti-aircraft(SPAA). early SPAA were nothing more than light AA mounted onto the backs of trucks, but as the war progressed better solutions needed to be found. The main German SPAA was the SdKFz 7/2 halftrack. mounting the 3.7cm FlaK 36/37. The vehicle carried 120 rounds of 37mm ammunition. An additional 432 rounds were stored in a trailer.
Production of the Sd Kfz 7/2 started in 1942 and over 1,000 vehicles were built by February 1945
