1.39.0.1 (24 August 2026)

This patch is primarily a cleanup and polish pass for the new user interface, addressing several issues discovered after deployment and improving a few quality-of-life features along the way.

Features

  • Added Enhanced Depot Warp: One-click respawn at the selected warp depot. No need to uncheck the MS box or deal with UI clicks.
  • Mission origin/persona now automatically updates based on the supply selected during mission creation.
  • Airfields are now automatically pre-selected when an airborne unit is chosen as the mission supply.
  • For HC: .hccp now has "orders" tab to update orders from HC message.
  • Left-clicking a mission now displays drop-down of origin/target/orders info.

Fixes

  • Resolved a collision issue affecting Mac users.
  • Restored normal functionality to the Squad tab.
  • Fixed HUD capture information to correctly display side-specific colors: Allies = Blue, Axis = Red.
  • New Mission Creation now properly supports HQ flag utilization.
  • Theater Map City Search now functions properly.
  • Spawn Protection received another polish pass:
    • First-person models now always render fully.
    • Third-person models remain transparent while Spawn Protection is active.
    • Added a gray visual overlay while Spawn Protection is active.
  • New Persona Selection now correctly displays the associated units on the Brigade Roster tab.
  • Updated the German Sapper manual to show the Kar98 instead of the Luger.
  • Instant Action now selects a paratrooper when joining a para mission instead of selecting the aircraft. Turns out the plane wasn't supposed to jump.
  • Aircraft carriers are no longer selected by default when creating an Air Force mission. The town's primary airfield will now be selected instead.
  • Fallen Soldier statue received normals texture and looks better.
  • Fixed a road transition to be smoother.
  • Ju87B/G-2 altimeter and gyro gauges now display properly.

1.39.0.0 (17 August 2026)

This update includes several roadmap deliveries and offers a major refresh to the WWII Online user experience, making it faster and easier to find battles, create missions, communicate with other players, and understand what is happening across the battlefield. With the introduction of Instant Action, Quick Respawn (on the despawn screen), redesigned Persona and Active Battles screens, improved objective indicators, enhanced minimap controls, and several important gameplay and visual fixes, players can get into the action more quickly and stay better informed throughout every mission.

Features

  • New Instant Action buttons added to UI: 1 click = enters game. BOOM!
  • New quick Respawn (Last Weapon) button on despawn screen.
  • Added a redesigned Persona Selection screen with an integrated helper.
  • Restored old skool Persona screen music to get you hyped up.
  • Added a new Active Battles screen with an integrated helper.
  • Added new Attack and Defense objective indicators for contested towns. This grabs attention much better.
  • Introduced a new and improved Mission Creation workflow. So simple, even I can do it.
  • Added HUD minimap filters, accessible directly from the minimap and Preferences menu.
  • Frontlines, Capture Bar, Town Ownership, all unified so Allies = Blue, Axis = Red.
  • Typing @Callsign now functions like the .m command, allowing players to send private messages more easily. .m still works too.
  • Added a persistent High Command Orders message at the top of the primary UI tabs. Provide orders and direction without fighting the chat bar.
  • Victory Point notifications now display the amount earned during the mission and the player’s progress toward the 24-hour earning limit.
  • Reordered the Ready Room weapon list to prioritize: Rifleman, Reserve then SMG.
  • Playgate patch download speeds doubled.

Fixes

  • Improved compatibility with newer joystick models.
  • Fixed an issue introduced in version 1.38.5.0 that affected damage to spawn objects and Forward Bases.
  • Added a maximum wallet capacity for Victory Points set by Game Management.
  • Fixed infantry textures appearing excessively shiny.
  • Fixed Facility Capture Point flags appearing flat.
  • Fixed overly reflective forest materials.
  • Completed a cleanup pass on the new R-35, A-13, and Panzer 38(t) tank models.
  • Fixed Carcano firing point.
    • Note: Not yet ready for primetime ingame, more fixing required.
  • Client now better detects desired aspect ratio (noticeable on ultrawide monitors).
  • PPO Bushes rolled back to functional green model.
