Designed by Rheinmetall, the 2.0 cm FlaK. 30 initially entered production for the Kriegsmarine in 1934 but was not accepted for service by the Luftwaffe until 1935. Game Play

Designed to provide immediate antiaircraft fire against low-flying attack aircraft, its utility as a heavy infantry support weapon was enhanced by 20mm AP ammunition. The FlaK.30 was the most widely used 20mm anti-aircraft weapon in the world by 1940. This accurate weapon saw service throughout the entire war on all fronts where Germany fought. In Battleground Europe you should deploy this gun to provide a close-in anti-aircraft umbrella over attacking forces; try to set up in a brush line or trees behind your main advance, where your HE firepower will not only be useful against enemy aircraft, but can also provide fire-support for your advancing infantry as well as a defense against light AFV. Clip reload is quite slow, keep careful track of your ammo so you don’t find yourself facing down an enemy tactical bomber with nothing to shoot.
